Non visual access to Mathematics

There are many projects and products trying to provide some help to visually impaired people doing Maths. In these pages I try to sum up the tools that are actually available. It’s not meant to be an extensive state-of-the-art (see note below).

  1. Conversion tools

Still to come:

  1. Reading and understanding Mathematics
  2. Doing maths

Note: In 2007, we published a state-of-the-art paper about this topic [Archambault et al. 2007], in the online journal Upgrade (CEPIS), together with Bernhard Stöger and Klaus Miesenberger from Johannes Kepler Universität Linz, and Donal Fitzpatrick from Dublin City University.
